Como and Florence, Italy
April 19th 2011
Day 7
Today was a day spent mostly traveling. We’d also been searching for a ride for our wine tour tomorrow as the recommended service was asking 300 euro, and the entire area didn’t have any car rentals available due to a MTV Italy concert tomorrow night.
Como in the morning had a couple cute little wine stores, a soap and scent store (a lot like 25th streets own Making Scents) and the Duomo of Como.
When we arrived in Florence at night we stopped in at Edi House, a nice restaurant with a bar and plenty of outdoor seating. We decided to sit inside, however, and get some pasta. The Capo pasta with was delicious and the ravioli with cream and nuts was tasty. The DABC would have something to say about this open bottle on dispay right next to our heads! The price was right and we decided to try and come back for some pizza tomorrow. We met the owner who recommended a car dealership that his friend owned as a last resort option to our ride quandary.
Stay tuned for the wine tour of Castello Banfi, if we can find a driver or some wheels in the morning!
